Brock has been working on the idea that is now Burl Ring for years, having held clinical, leadership, and allied roles that have persistently intersected with trauma, addiction, and our lived spaces.

Working from a deep foundation of Narrative Therapies, with additional competencies in EMDR (EMDRIA trained), CBT/DBT/ACT, Gestalt and Somatic Modalities, he strives to bring a steady presence to every interaction to facilitate the exploration of the stories that make up our lives. Brock has been honored to walk clinically with a wide range of people and concerns over his career, especially addiction (ASAM trained), trauma, anxiety, psychopharmacology, pain, grief, and life transitions such as career changes.

He has taught, as well as completed psychological and educational research, at the university level in both graduate counseling and medical programs, as well as having personally trained dozens of Therapists, PMHNPs, Peer Supporters, and other professionals. He currently supervises and trains LPCs and CTs as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor across multiple organizations and provides clinical consulting to a wide range of entities. He also serves as the Administrator for Burl Ring and is driving the expansion of our Allied Work offerings as he pursues certifications in Project and Construction Management to reinforce his decades of construction and labor experience.
