"Howdy! My name is Logan, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Philosophy at Appalachian State University, and this foundation informs my unique approach to counseling.
I am trained in narrative therapy, which is an approach to counseling that emphasizes individual and collective processes of making meaning out of our experiences. In session, I will support you in exploring how various factors such as developmental history, trauma, and societal oppression have shaped your understanding of yourself and the world. I am drawn to narrative therapy because I believe it makes space for us to acknowledge and deconstruct the influences of cultural and political forces that act upon our mental health.
I am also trained in Parts I & II of EMDR, which supplies me with tools for directly addressing the impacts of trauma on the body and nervous system. Using this framework, I can provide you with information about the embodied mechanisms of trauma and serve as your partner in becoming re-acquainted with feelings of safety.
I am a queer, neurodivergent trans man, and I am passionate about serving neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities. I am committed to combating racism, misogyny, fatphobia, and ableism through my therapeutic work. I have experience helping clients navigate the following identities and concerns:
ADHD, Anxiety, Autism, Depression, Grief, OCD, Marginalization, Trauma, Disability and chronic illness, Challenges with relationships/communication/attachment, and Challenges with emotional processing.”
